Missing Hiker’s Body Found After Four Days

The body of a missing Auburn hiker was found after a four-day search along a steep embankment near Crescent Meadow.
Phillip Arens, 42, was reported missing Wednesday by his brother, according to officials of Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. Search-and-rescue teams found his body Saturday.
Arens and his brother, who was not identified, were on a multiday backpack trip that ended Wednesday near Crescent Meadow. Arens’ brother went to retrieve their car, but Arens was missing when he returned.
