Four Officers Shot, Wounded in Standoff

Three police officers and a state trooper were shot and wounded in Midlothian during a standoff at an apartment complex that stemmed from a report of a broken window, officials said. The gunman died of an apparently self-inflicted gunshot, authorities said.
The officers determined the window had been broken by a gunshot and were attacked when they went to the apartment from which they believed the shots had been fired.
