From Times Wire Reports
Thai police said they arrested 175 North Koreans who fled their communist homeland and were hiding in suburban Bangkok.
They raided the house after a tip from neighbors, taking into custody the 37 men, 128 women and 10 children, said police Col. Songphol Wattanachai.
He said they had entered Thailand in separate groups and had been staying in the house for two months. They were seeking asylum in a third country, and 16 of them had been granted such status. All but the 16 were being held at an immigrant detention center.
