Underwater inspiration on the surface

David Pierce is mega pixilated. Last summer, the custom woodworker of San Francisco’s Ohio Design showed a monochrome digital photograph of a termite printed on a dresser. Now, he’s added a splash of color -- goldfish prints that are semitransparent, letting the grain of the oak tabletops shine through under a protective coating. These 24-inch square tables, which sell for $525 each, are part of a retail collection that includes palm trees and sunflowers, at Show, (323) 644-1960.
