Comden, Green tunes for benefit

The 22nd annual Southland Theatre Artists Goodwill Event will pay tribute to the famed songwriting team of Betty Comden and Adolph Green with three shows this month featuring such performers as Marissa Jaret Winokur, Tonya Pinkins, Adam Lambert, Betty Garrett and Bruce Vilanch.
“Do Re Mi -- Comden & Green’s Broadway” will include tunes from their shows, including “Bells Are Ringing,” “On the Town,” “Wonderful Town,” “Hallelujah Baby!” and “Subways Are for Sleeping.” It will play at 8 p.m. next Friday and March 11 and at 3 p.m. March 12 at the Luckman Fine Arts Complex at Cal State Los Angeles.
All proceeds will go to AIDS Project Los Angeles and Project New Hope.
