Superman Still Has the Charm

Contrary to Dan Neil’s concerns, the Man of Steel retains his appeal (“True Blue,” 800 Words, Feb. 12). Superman remains the Cary Grant of comic books: mild-mannered one moment, glamorous the next, with a huge demographic at his command. In a movie era of scale and spectacle, believing a man can fly could be just the ticket for Superman to capture a new generation.
