FedEx Profit Up 35%; It Raises Forecast for Year

FedEx Corp. said fiscal third-quarter profit rose 35% as demand enabled the company to raise prices more than in recent years.
Net income rose to $428 million, or $1.38 a share, from $317 million, or $1.03, a year earlier, the company said. FedEx increased its full-year net income forecast as much as 3.9% to $5.66 to $5.81 a share.
Sales rose 9% to $8 billion.
FedEx shares rose $1.22 to $114.44.
