General Mills Posts 7% Increase in Profit

General Mills Inc., the second-largest U.S. cereal maker, said its fiscal third-quarter profit rose 7% after it added flavors of Cheerios and Yoplait yogurt.
Net income climbed to $246 million, or 68 cents a share, from $230 million, or 58 cents, a year earlier. Revenue gained 3.2% to $2.86 billion, the Minneapolis-based company said. The earnings beat analysts’ estimates.
