250 Troops Withdraw From Northern Region

Hundreds of army troops were withdrawing from posts in North Waziristan, a restive tribal region where Osama bin Laden is believed to be hiding, in an apparent step toward a peace accord, a Pakistani intelligence source said.
About 250 troops have pulled back from 11 roadblocks in the area’s main town, Miram Shah, said an intelligence official. Military officials did not immediately confirm the withdrawal.
