Control Room, a company that produces concerts for the Web and other digital outlets, is taking its act to broadcast television this fall. The MyNetworkTV network, seen locally on KCOP-TV Channel 13, said Thursday it would introduce a music series in prime time this fall, “Control Room Presents.”
Airing Mondays at 9 p.m. beginning Oct. 1, the show will feature artists in concert at venues around the world. Appearing in the first weeks will be John Mayer, Maroon 5 and Mandy Moore.
Kevin Wall, chief executive of Control Room, was the co-founder of Live Earth, the July event that staged 24 hours of shows spread across seven continents in the name of global-warming awareness.
MyNetworkTV also said its fall schedule will include “Celebrity Exposé,” on Mondays at 8 p.m., a series from the producers of “Access Hollywood” about “the realities of celebrity life,” and “NFL Network: Total Access,” on Saturdays at 9 p.m., a preview of coming games and other football news.
