Detroit 4, at Montreal 1: Pavel Datsyuk scored two unassisted goals off turnovers and Dominik Hasek stopped 15 shots. Niklas Kronvall and Henrik Zetterberg also scored for the Red Wings, who extended their winning streak to four.

at Toronto 3, Nashville 1: Wade Belak scored his first goal since Dec. 20, 2003, and Vesa Toskala stopped 34 shots. Shea Weber scored for the Predators and goalie Chris Mason made 12 saves.

at Tampa Bay 4, Ottawa 3, SO: Vinny Prospal scored in the fourth round of a shootout and the Lightning extended the Senators’ losing streak to seven games. Daniel Alfredsson scored twice during a three-goal third, helping the Senators tie the score, 3-3. Mathieu Darche, Chris Gratton and Filip Kuba also scored for Tampa Bay.

at Calgary 3, St. Louis 1: Dustin Boyd banked the puck off the backside of goaltender Hannu Toivonen for his first goal and Marcus Nilson and Kristian Huselius also scored for the Flames, who took 37 shots on Toivonen.
