What a wonderful article about the Mammoth Lakes pack outfits [“The Sierra, With Spurs On,” July 8]. It was full of memories for my husband and me.
We camped with Boy Scout Troop 406 at Horseshoe Lake for many years and love that area. The troop often hiked and did an easy overnight at one of the lakes you mentioned. There is nothing like the stars, air and water in the High Sierra.
