Enough of Prince

RE “It’s Worth a Visit to Prince’s ‘Planet,’ ” by Ann Powers, July 24: Oh, Ann, you really must stop falling all over yourself trying to convince us that Prince’s concerts and latest CD are worth our time and money. The Former Artist did peak in the ‘80s, and his output since has been laughable at best. Heck, from what I’ve read in The Times, he has given away copies of his last two recordings, which shows how much faith he had that his former fans would buy them.

Isn’t he overdue for a new title? Here’s one that is both fitting and would look great on a Las Vegas marquee: Our Generation’s Liberace. Of course, he would have to agree to share it with Jon Bon Jovi.
