Canadian, 4 Afghans die in attacks

A roadside bomb killed a Canadian soldier, while a suicide attack left three policemen and a civilian dead.
Brig. Gen. Guy Laroche, commander of Canadian forces in Afghanistan, said the soldier was killed in the volatile Panjwayi district west of Kandahar, a hotbed of Taliban activity.
The suicide bomber blew himself up near a police vehicle on the outskirts of Lashkar Gah, the capital of Helmand province.
