On the Web
In Astral Weeks, Ed Park writes about a young hacker in Cory Doctorow’s novel “Little Brother” (a title indebted to George Orwell’s “1984”) who uses techno-geek wizardry to defend himself when he’s targeted as an enemy of the state after a terrorist attack. This thriller reads in spots like a gizmo tutorial, but Park notes that it also captures “the human aura shimmering around technology.”
