at Milwaukee 5, Philadelphia 4: Prince Fielder hit two two-run homers, including a go-ahead shot in the eighth. Fielder’s homers came against Cole Hamels (2-3), who lost despite striking out a season-high 11.
Chicago 7, at Colorado 6 (10 innings): Ryan Theriot’s run-scoring single with two out scored Mike Fontenot from second.
New York 7, at Washington 2: Johan Santana (3-2) hit two doubles and pitched seven solid innings. The Mets improved to 4-0 against the Nationals.
Florida 7, at Atlanta 2: Mike Jacobs hit a two-run homer, Hanley Ramirez added a solo shot and Dan Uggla had three hits, including a two-run triple in the ninth.
at Pittsburgh 7, St. Louis 4: Jose Bautista and Doug Mientkiewicz had run-scoring singles during a three-run eighth inning and the Pirates erased a four-run deficit.
Houston 9, at Cincinnati 3: Kazuo Matsui sparked a seven-run rally with a two-run single. The Astros have won four in a row. The Reds’ Ken Griffey Jr. hit his 597th home run.
San Francisco 3, at San Diego 2 (13 innings): Rookie Emmanuel Burriss doubled and scored the go-ahead run on Fred Lewis’ single.
at Dodgers 8, Arizona 3: James Loney had two run-scoring singles.
