Houston 5, at Cincinnati 3: Lance Berkman had a two-run homer and a run-scoring double off rookie Johnny Cueto, whose 96-mph fastball wasn’t enough to slow the Astros, who have won five in a row.
at Colorado 4, Chicago 2: Aaron Cook pitched eight strong innings to help the Rockies end a four-game skid. Cook (3-1) won his third consecutive start.
St. Louis 6, at Pittsburgh 2: Brian Barton’s two-run single in the fifth inning -- the first hit off Pirates starter Tom Gorzelanny -- gave the Cardinals the lead.
at Atlanta 7, Florida 4: Chipper Jones went three for three with a homer to raise the best average in the majors to .442.
at Washington 10, New York 5: Felipe Lopez’s grand slam and two-run single gave him a career-high-tying six RBIs.
San Francisco 1, at San Diego 0: Rich Aurilia homered to left with one out in the seventh inning.
Arizona 6, at Dodgers 4: Chad Billingsley (0-4) got the loss despite a career-high 12 strikeouts.
