Police are investigating two shootings that left a teenage boy and a man wounded. The apparently unrelated incidents occurred Thursday within hours of each other, Lt. Robert Fowler said Friday.
Officers went to the 12700 block of Sunswept Avenue, the scene of the first shooting, about 5 p.m. They found shell casings but no victim.
A short time later a 15-year-old boy arrived at Garden Grove Hospital and Medical Center with gunshot wounds on his shoulder, foot and arm. He is expected to recover.
At 8:43 p.m., officers were called to Flower Street and Stanford Avenue, where they found a 24-year-old man on a lawn with a gunshot wound to the stomach. He was taken to UCI Medical Center. Fowler said he was in serious condition.
Police said the earlier shooting may have been gang-related. Investigators are looking for two to four males with shaved heads who fled in a blue four-door sedan. Two male suspects in the second shooting fled on foot.
