The American Apparel Sample Sale 2008
Last year’s bargains on all things terry cloth and form-fitting made the hours-long wait in the heat worth it. This year, a mere T-shirt ran $7. And with ubiquitous rips, holes and stains in the clothes, the sale seemed more like a thrift store after the merchandise was attacked by wolverines.
