No Echo fan

I am one of the “niche” fans that you attribute to Gram Rabbit [“Gram Rabbit Shines Before DJs Spin In,” Jan. 2].
I was at the New Year’s Eve show on Monday night, and it was despicable what was done not only to the band but to the fans as well. I purchased a ticket for the show with no idea that the club would be turned over to DJs shortly after midnight.
This is a band that drove 150 miles to play for the highly dedicated fans they do have. Hopefully, in the future, our favorite band won’t have to return to establishments like the Echo, where the customer seems to be little more than cattle.
