Plane crash kills six; four survive

A small plane crashed in waters off Kodiak Island, killing six of the 10 people on board, authorities said.
The Piper Navajo Chieftain crashed soon after takeoff in shallow waters, according to the Coast Guard. A private float plane from a fish-processing company pulled four survivors from the wreckage, and another person managed to swim to shore, authorities said. One survivor later died at the hospital. Five bodies were recovered.
