Billups unsure about Game 4

Detroit Pistons point guard Chauncey Billups will be a game-time decision for Saturday’s Game 4 of the Eastern Conference semifinals after straining his hamstring in Wednesday’s Game 3 against the Orlando Magic, the team said Thursday.
“It’s feeling sore, kind of similar to last night,” Billups said on the day after.
Rookie Rodney Stuckey probably would replace him.

Rick Carlisle could be announced as the new coach of the Dallas Mavericks as soon as today, his agent told the Dallas Morning News. Carlisle, 48, would replace Avery Johnson.

Former Denver Nuggets general manager Kiki Vandeweghe became the New Jersey Nets’ GM, less than six months after being hired as a special assistant. He replaces Ed Stefanski, who left for Philadelphia. . . . Milwaukee Bucks guard Mo Williams had surgery to repair ligament damage in his right thumb.
