Magnitude 7.5 earthquake kills 2

A powerful earthquake jolted eastern Indonesia today, killing at least two people, injuring nearly 40 and crumpling hundreds of houses, officials said. It also triggered a brief regional tsunami warning.
The magnitude 7.5 quake struck off Sulawesi island, sending thousands of people fleeing homes, hotels and hospitals.
The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake struck 54 miles from the nearest city, Gorontalo, on Sulawesi. It was centered 13 miles beneath the sea. There were two strong aftershocks.
