Nashville police say they arrested a woman who dressed like a nurse, entered a hospital maternity room and tried to leave with someone else’s baby. Charges were pending against Adriene Johnson, 24.
According to police, Johnson entered the maternity room wearing medical scrubs and said she needed to check the baby’s temperature. She triggered security measures when she tried to leave with the baby.
Police said Johnson had been out on bond after being arrested Monday and charged with stealing a baby rocker from a Wal-Mart and trying to return it for money.
