Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg re-team for a companion piece to their well-regarded World War II miniseries, “Band of Brothers.” This time, they explore the fighting on the Pacific front against the Japanese. Martin Scorsese has signed on to produce this series in development for HBO. Based on the book by Nelson Johnson, it chronicles the rise and fall of Atlantic City. “Entourage” producers Mark Wahlberg and Stephen Levinson are also involved in the project.
