“House of Cards” star Kevin Spacey will soon be telling some real life political stories on CNN.
The Oscar-winning actor, who plays President Frank Underwood on the hit Netflix political drama, will be a narrator and an executive producer for “Race to the White House,” a six-part documentary series set to air on the cable news channel in 2016.
Each hour will be devoted to the story of a different presidential campaign, using archive footage, interviews with key players and dramatic recreations.
CNN Worldwide President Jeff Zucker said Monday in a statement that the series “will be the perfect complement to our coverage of the 2016 campaigns and election.”
Spacey and Dana Brunetti’s Trigger Street Productions are teaming with British company Raw to produce “Race.” Trigger Street is also a co-producer of “House of Cards.”
