Shopclass, a new vintage decor store in Highland Park
Shopclass on York Boulevard has layer upon layer of vintage finds. The “Soul Train” sign is from a bus, perhaps one formerly in service on a studio lot. The wingback chair behind it is a vintage piece reupholstered in army blanket material and black denin. Price: $525. (Luis Sinco / Los Angeles Times)
A vintage antelope trophy head is $485. (Luis Sinco / Los Angeles Times)
Unicorn tumblers? “One of my favorite things in the store,” Shopclass co-owner Jeff Garbs said with a laugh. Six glasses are part of a set with a pitcher and stirrer -- unused, with their original tags -- selling for $125. (Luis Sinco / Los Angeles Times)
Americana mixes with midcentury photography in one corner of the 2,000-square-foot store.
