Three-year-old boy shot while sleeping in Palmdale

A 3-year-old boy sleeping in his bed was shot Sunday night after a gunman opened fire in a Palmdale neighborhood, authorities said.
Just before 10 p.m., bullets pierced through the walls of a home in the 38000 block of 65th Street East, said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Crystal Hernandez.
An unknown number of bullets hit the boy, who was taken to the hospital. His condition was unknown, Hernandez said.
Investigators are interviewing neighbors about the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call the Palmdale sheriff’s station at (661) 272-2400.
