Teenage boy stabbed to death in East L.A.

A teenage boy was stabbed to death Friday night in East Los Angeles, authorities said Saturday.
The boy, 17, was found about 11:10 p.m. Friday in the 5000 block of Whittier Boulevard, in unincorporated Los Angeles County, suffering from a stab wound to the upper torso, Los Angeles County sheriff’s Deputy Kelvin Moody said.
He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The boy’s name was not released, and authorities had no information on potential suspects or the circumstances of the stabbing.
