Five persons were rescued Thursday afternoon after their 16-foot boat began taking on water off Coronado, authorities said.
A boater described by authorities as a good Samaritan took three children aboard. Two adults stayed on their boat in hopes it could be kept from sinking.
The boat capsized, throwing the adults in the water, where they were rescued by the San Diego Harbor Police.
The five are all in good condition, according to the Coast Guard station in San Diego. A salvage company has been called in an effort to tow the boat.
