Re “The ethical course,” editorial, March 6

The ethical course is for the voters to demand, before choosing a representative, that a candidate for government service be ethical. Creating an office staffed by bureaucrats who will inevitably spend their time justifying an ever-growing budget seems to be an abdication of responsibility rather than a solution.
