Re “Tied in knots over interfaith weddings,” Opinion, June 16
As a retired Lutheran pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, I was intrigued by Naomi Schaefer Riley’s Op-Ed article. I officiated at the wedding of a Roman Catholic priest, who married a divorced Danish Lutheran woman, in a Missouri Synod Lutheran church. And they are still married.
I often say that I tied a square knot, not a slipknot or a noose, when the marriage lasts. And theirs has.
