* West Baker Street: A carjacking was reported in the 1200 block at

12:55 a.m. Tuesday.

* West 17th Street: A petty theft was reported in the 900 block at

8:04 a.m. Tuesday.

* College Avenue: A grand theft was reported in the 2900 block at 8:35

a.m. Tuesday.

* McClintock Way: A vehicle burglary was reported in the 2400 block at

12:06 p.m. Tuesday.

* East 17th Street: An assault was reported in the 200 block at 7:34

p.m. Tuesday.

* Pepper Tree Lane: A residential burglary was reported in the 2900

block at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday.

* West Bay Street: An assault was reported in the 300 block at 11:43

p.m. Tuesday.

NEWPORT BEACH

* Newport Center Drive: A rear license plate was stolen from a car in

the 600 block at about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.

* Bison Avenue: A purse containing three credit cards and cash was

stolen from a car in the 800 block at 7:55 a.m. Tuesday. The loss was

valued at $199.

* West 15th Street: A vandal punctured the tires of a truck in the 800

block at 5:20 p.m. Wednesday.
