Orange Coast unable to solve Dons’ Alcaraz
- Share via
The Orange Coast College softball team managed just two hits off
starter Elaina Alcaraz, who was backed by plenty of offensive support
from visiting Santa Ana, which recorded a 10-1 Orange Empire
Conference win Monday.
OCC (8-11, 3-7 in the OEC) committed six errors behind starting
pitcher Kera Mathes (6-8). One of the seven runs allowed by Mathes
was earned because of the Pirates’ miscues. Courtney Winger led the
way for the Dons (13-13-1, 6-5), going 3 for 4 with a pair of RBI
doubles and two runs scored.
