Tesoro slips past CdM

CORONA DEL MAR -- Tesoro High’s Nicole Aaronson threw a five-hitter

and had errorless defense to back her up as host Corona del Mar was

dealt a 7-0 Pacific Coast League softball defeat Thursday.

Heather Lohrman went 2 for 3 for the Sea Kings, but at no time was

CdM able to get a runner as far as third base as Tesoro struck for

all it would need with a run in the fourth inning, then eased way

with a six-run seventh.

The loss drops Corona del Mar to 1-1 in the PCL with play resuming

April 22 at University. Tesoro improved to 2-0.
