The Newport-Mesa Unified School District offers menu choices each day

at elementary schools. Students may choose a vegetarian entree. The

selection may include a salad, sandwich or hot entree. School lunches

are $2 each. Here’s what’s being served this week:

TODAY

Munchable Lunch Salad with Yoplait fruit yogurt or toasted cheese

sandwich crisp green salad with ranch, Craisins, frozen 100% fruit

juice bar and choice of milk.

WEDNESDAY

Munchable Lunch Salad or chicken nuggets, with dipping sauce,

seasoned corned, choice of 100 percent fruit juice and choice of

milk.

THURSDAY

*Munchable Lunch Salad or sloppy Joe on a bun, baby carrots with

ranch dip, pears, graham crackers and milk.

FRIDAY

Munchable Lunch Salad or oriental chicken salad with fresh baked

roll or teriyaki beef dippers, rice, jicama sticks with ranch dip,

fruit turnover, choice of milk.

MONDAY

Munchable Lunch Salad or hamburger or veggie burger on a bun,

potato wedges, lettuce and pickles, applesauce and choice of milk.

The Munchable Lunch Salad contains tossed greens, cherry tomatoes,

crackers and protein sources such as cheese, sunflower seeds, fruit

yogurt and honey- roasted peanuts. (*Peanut butter on selected days)
