Gari Browning, who was an Orange Coast College professor, researcher

and administrator for 18 years and was an associate director of the

Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges for the

Western Assn. of Schools and Colleges, has been named to the position

of vice president of instruction at College of the Canyon ...The

California Bay-Delta Authority appointed Helen Ingram of UC Irvine to

be part of the Independent Science Board for the California Bay-Delta

Program ... Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Nicholas B. Zeramby, son of

Sherry A. Zeramby of Costa Mesa and Scott A. Zeramby of Albion, was

deployed recently to Liberia to supply support for West African

forces while assigned to the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, based in

Camp Lejeune, N.C. ... Kristal Wolf, daughter of Adele Wolf of Costa

Mesa and a 1999 graduate of Calvary Chapel High School, recently

received her bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from the University

of Colorado, Colorado Springs ... Ben Jensen, 22, of Foothill Ranch

is the student body president of the Associated Students of Orange

Coast College for the 2003-04 academic year ... Coast Guard Seaman

Apprentice Jason D. Hutchinson, son of Julie D. Hutchinson of Newport

Beach, recently graduated from the U.S. Coast Guard Recruit Training

Center in Cape May, N.J. Hutchinson is a 2001 graduate of Valley

Vista High School of Fountain Valley.
