Amazon adventure receives community’s applause

I just have to give you people everyone from the publisher who

committed the resources for this article “Hands That Heal” right down

to the ink devil, if you have them in this business anymore. What a

tremendous article. Deepa Bharath and Don Leach should be

congratulated on the job they did.

I can’t think of any article in the newspaper I’ve read that had

the impact this article had on me at 6 a.m. It is a Friday morning

and I just finished the last article of the group. It is just

outstanding. Everything. The photography, the writing -- certainly

not to take anything from the doctors and the nurses that put in all

that time -- but the way it got into the paper and the resources the

paper committed to do that has to be second to none.

I absolutely loved “Hands That Heal” by Deepa Bharath and Don

Leach. It was fascinating. It gave me an insight into cultures that I

didn’t understand very well. It was just absolutely heartwarming and

very professionally written. I was absolutely entranced by it.

That article in the paper about the Amazon was unbelievable. You

get a 10 -- four stars, whatever. It was fantastic Thank you, thank

you.
