Little League, Softball League registration
Two dates have been set for registration for the 2009 season at Laguna Beach Little League and Laguna Beach Softball League.
The first registration date is Oct. 25, followed by a Nov. 1 sign-up session. Both will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Riddle Field.
All newcomers to the league are required to bring a birth certificate and proof of residency. The cost per player is $190 for both baseball and softball and $120 for T-ball.
The league also is looking for volunteers to work as game umpires. No experience is needed and the league will provide training and umpire equipment. The umpire clinic is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 15.

Mixed doubles tennis open to Seniors
The city of Laguna Beach Senior Services is offering mixed doubles tennis. The group will meet every Wednesday through Dec. 17, from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Alta Laguna Park tennis courts, 3300 Alta Laguna Park.
There is no charge to participate. Sign-ups for this drop-in program are on a first-come, first-served basis at the courts. Space is limited. Players are required to bring their own tennis balls.

All Court Tennis instruction offered
All Court Tennis’ fall program is taking registration for a wide range of activities.
The program is taking registration for tennis instruction at the Pee Wee, Junior and Teenage levels, as well as for Cardio Tennis classes. Pee Wee, Junior and Teen classes are for beginners and intermediates.
Advanced juniors can attend Competitor or Tournament Training classes to work on building a mature, all court competitive game. Cardio Tennis is a fitness class designed for adult tennis players who want to elevate the heart rate, drill a large variety of shots and improve overall your heart health. Morning and evening classes are available.

Fall tennis league teams forming
Teams are forming for fall play in the Laguna Beach USA Junior Team Tennis leagues. Players interested in Rallyball for novices and both 12-and-under and 14-U beginner and intermediate players can contact Coach Julie Heussentamm, Director of Player Development, at allcourttennis@ hotmail.com.
