HB Waves girls’ basketball tryouts coming

The HB Waves Girls’ Club Basketball program will hold spring team tryouts March 6 at Huntington Beach High (1905 Main Street).

The tryout is free and open to girls grades fourth through eighth (grades based on the 2015-16 school year) and runs from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Huntington gymnasium. Team practices will be held once or twice weekly and the squad will participate in weekly skills clinics plus play upward of two tournaments per month.

The HB Waves club team is coached by Huntington Beach High girls’ basketball Coach Russ McClurg and his coaching staff.
