Baseball: Max Mehlbaum moves from Taft to Chatsworth
- Share via
The top teams expected to battle for supremacy in City Section baseball this spring keep getting stronger with new players.
Max Mehlbaum, who attended Chatsworth as a freshman before transferring to Taft and playing the last two seasons for the Toreadors, is back at Chatsworth.
Mehlbaum is a pitcher-outfielder who has been a major factor in the West Valley League the last two seasons. He has committed to Furman.
He’ll add hitting and pitching to a team that figures to be the prime challenger to defending City champion El Camino Real.
Chatsworth also picked up a transfer from Simi Valley, junior Zach Kaminkow, a catcher-infielder.
