Boys’ basketball: Guard Kyle Leufroy is leaving St. Francis

The Mission League is losing another top guard to a prep school.
Encino Crespi earlier lost Max Heidegger to a prep school back east. Now the word is that St. Francis guard Kyle Leufroy won’t be returning. He will attend a high school in Northern California and play for a prep school. That’s what Coach Jeff Stephens said he learned on Sunday from Leufroy’s father.
“He’s a great kid,” Stephens said.
Leufroy averaged 22.3 points as a junior.
