On Sunday, Van Nuys Sherman Oaks Park will be the site for the fifth 5K run/walk/expo in honor of former Sherman Oaks Notre Dame cross country runner Conor Lynch, who died in 2010 after being struck by a hit-and-run driver while training with his cross country team.
The Conor Lynch Foundation supports programs that raise awareness and promote safety of runners, pedestrians, cyclists and young drivers.
