Football: Narbonne won’t have receiver Lewis Citizen for bowl game
- Share via
Injuries keep happening, and Narbonne has lost receiver Lewis Citizen (47 catches) for Saturday’s CIF state championship Division 1-A bowl game against Clayton Valley because of a broken collarbone suffered last week, Coach Manuel Douglas said.
Receiver is one of the Gauchos’ strongest positions depth wise, and it means junior Tre Walker will get the start.
Walker began the season as a starter, then was suspended by Douglas and has worked his way back into the lineup.
This will be the final high school game for quarterback Roman Ale, who has passed for 45 touchdowns in his senior season. Ale’s experience should come in handy at Sacramento State.
