Football: Small schools running backs have big nights

Luke Ramos from Northridge Heritage Christian is making people pay attention to his running skills.
Ramos, a sophomore, rushed for 250 yards in 10 carries and scored two touchdowns in Heritage Christian’s 65-49 win over Whittier Christian.
He’s on a streak. He had 208 yards rushing and four touchdowns against Verdugo Hills; 188 yards and two touchdowns against Granada Hills, and 191 yards and one touchdown against New Designs Watts.
There was another big performance from a small schools running back.
Nicholas Benson from Chadwick rushed for 427 yards in 15 carries in an eight-man victory over Sage Hill, 91-56.
He had touchdown runs of 62, 59, 44, 37, 31, 29 and 69 yards.
