Girls’ basketball: Mater Dei’s Jayda Adams commits to Duke

Jayda Adams of Santa Ana Mater Dei, one of the top girls’ basketball players in Southern California, has committed to Duke.
Adams is a 5-foot-11 guard. Her sister, Jordy, was a standout with Mater Dei who went on to USC.
She will become another top player from Southern California to end up at Duke. Chaminade’s Leaonna Odom signed last year.
