Track: Mater Dei’s Curtis Godin signs with UCLA

Curtis Godin of Santa Mater Dei, the No. 1 sprinter in California this season, has signed with UCLA, Coach Rick Martinez said.
At Saturday’s West Coast Relays, he ran a wind-aided time of 21.11 in the 200, fastest in the state. He set an Orange County record earlier this week in the 100 meters with a time of 10.42 seconds, No. 1 in the state.
Godin used to be a baseball player until joining the track team as a junior last season.
