KINGS NEXT UP
VS. BOSTON
When: Saturday, 7:30 p.m.
On the air: FS West; Radio: 790.
Update: Remember the last time the Kings and the Bruins played? Certainly Bruins goaltenders Tuukka Rask and Jonas Gustavsson won’t forget. The Kings won, 9-2, in Milan Lucic’s Boston homecoming on Feb. 9 and had 57 shots on goal. Nine Kings scored, including Lucic, who added an assist. Curiously, center Anze Kopitar wasn’t one of them. He was too busy setting up Lucic and he seems to save his multiple-goal scoring efforts for the New York Rangers. In two games against the Rangers this season, Kopitar has scored five goals, including two in Thursday night’s 4-3 overtime win — the tying goal and the game-winner. Lucic, with an assist against the Rangers, matched a career high with at least a point in his last eight games. Heading into Friday night’s action, Kopitar was leading the league in the plus/minus department with a plus-31. Kings goalie Jonathan Quick is second in the league with 36 wins, trailing league-leader Braden Holtby of Washington.
