AT THE PLATE: With most of the Dodgers’ regular starters being rested, Xavier Paul had a run-scoring triple, Trayvon Robinson singled home two runs and Marcus Thames had a run-scoring double.
ON THE MOUND: John Ely was tagged for four runs (three earned), including a home run by Josh Hamilton, in four innings, the first runs he has given up this spring. Scott Elbert and Lance Cormier each pitched a scoreless inning.
EXTRA BASES: Ely had three strikeouts and did not walk a batter. Paul, an outfielder fighting to make the opening-day roster, was two for three, the only Dodger with multiple hits.
UP NEXT: The Dodgers play Texas on Tuesday at 1 p.m. PDT at Camelback Ranch, with Clayton Kershaw facing Derek Holland.
