Panthers goalie Roberto Luongo, who will play in his 1,oooth game tonight, is the latest South Florida star to never won a championship.
Some consider him the best NASCAR driver to never win the championship. He came in second five times in the overall point standings. He also had never won the Daytona 500, the most prestigious of NASCAR races, with his best finish in 2007, in which he was leading on the final lap, but lost by 0.020 seconds to Kevin Harvick. Edwards came oh-so-close to winning his first Cup championship in the 2016 season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway. He spent 13 years in the Cup Series and has 28 career victories in 445 starts.
